Soft Palate was a new work commissioned from choreographer Emmalena Fredriksson for EDAM’s Spring 2021 showcase. In discussions about the concept, Emmalena was interested in creating movement around an aspect of costuming that distorts and disassociates the human body. In a world where we are currently masked, these costumes go a step further creating a distance between body and the senses of the mind and face.
